The mission of Showplace Performing Arts Academy is to provide high school students and the community with an educational program that is intellectually and culturally stimulating, aesthetically enriching and personally relevant, with a strong emphasis on community building and responsible citizenship.
Our Wonderful World of Art
Showplace Performing Arts Academy will ensure all performers become proficient and well-rounded artists prepared for the challenges of dance, music, production and theatre at the professional level. Frequent collaboration with other art disciplines and academic subjects provides student with cross-disciplinary education, therefore promoting development as artists and entrepreneurs.
The curriculum will inspire artistic and academic excellence promoting understanding and knowledge of the cultural contexts and history of the arts, while also preparing students in pursuance of professional careers.
The art programs will offer concentrated pre-professional training that incorporates advanced techniques to guide performers toward greater self-awareness, potential and resources.
Showplace will include a state of the art recording studio, television and video production studio for vocal students and theatre performers. A talent company will facilitate the students post-high school professional career, a ballroom for formal events, and a theatre for student performances and public events.
